FAQ · Migraine and Headache

What is vestibular rehabilitation?

Short answer

Vestibular rehabilitation is a structured, exercise-based approach to training the balance and eye-movement systems so they tolerate more input with fewer symptoms.

More detail

Rehabilitation exercises are individualized based on findings — habituation for motion sensitivity, gaze stability for oculomotor dysfunction, balance training for postural instability. They are dosed to stay within current capacity while gradually expanding it.

Vestibular rehabilitation is particularly relevant in vestibular migraine, post-concussion recovery, and cases where dizziness or visual sensitivity is a prominent feature.
